Terminal Estate Management
POS Terminal Turnkey Estate Management
The Android Terminal Estate Management System is available from both Ingenico & Newland
The Android Terminal Estate Management System is available from both OEMs. The TMS is a digital transformation platform for estate management & app provisioning, which has been designed to eliminate inefficiencies and radically improve business operations. The Ingenico TMS is named TEM, whilst Newland offers the TOMS solution.
Core functions & features of the TMS are:
Customisation
Ability to customise the device branding, boot screen and profiles.
History and audit trail
Storage of device logs, change management and other functional updates.
Batch profile creation
Profiles and estate configurations can be created which are automatically assigned to all devices within the parent estate.
GPS tracking
Real time tracking of the location of the device.
Auto "pre-install"
Provides the option to automatically pre-install firmware and applications as created in the batch profile rapidly speeding up deployment.
Geo-Fencing
Ability to create a radius net for each device which will limit the device functionality should it leave the radius.
Estate organisation
Ability to create organisations and hierarchies with user privileges across the respective profiles on the TMS.
Profile information
Data and information on the device status, software, and firmware versions.
Device update scheduling
Ability to schedule updates and deployments to device either per schedule or on an ad hoc basis.
Proactive monitoring
Intuitive proactive device monitoring sends alerts to admins when the device triggers a preset alert threshold.
Device monitoring
Ability to display storage, network traffic, module health, etc.
AppStore
Deployment, management and reporting of VAS and companion apps on devices.
Remote Tools
Remote Desktop
Remote desktop enables support teams to remotely access, view and edit settings and or parameters on the POS Terminal, making merchant support more effective and limiting downtime for merchants.
Remote Monitoring
Remote monitoring proactively monitors the device components and performance across the terminal estate.
The monitoring tool alerts estate managers when any component reaches a threshold parameter as configured. This provides insight into POS terminal and estate health as well as improves efficiency through redundancy and preventative maintenance therefore reducing device interruptions in the field.
Remote Key Injection is available across the device range of both Ingenico and Newland.
The RKI process and protocol is specific to each respective manufacturers process and protocol. Both Newland and Ingenico offer Remote Key Injection across their device ranges, and in both instances the RKI module is linked to the device TMS.
Utilisation of RKI has multiple inherent benefits for financial institutions, which include:
- The removal of the need for a physical Key Injection Facility (KIF) and associated costs;
- Rapid, scale injection of devices remotely;
- The ability to remotely remove and inject keys at merchants dramatically reduces downtime for merchant and bank;
- Improved logistics and supply chain process as devices can be shipped as blank units; and
- Reduced administrative and staff costs.
