Till-to-POS
The Till-to-POS solution is a semi-integrated, till-to-terminal solution whereby the till utilises the African Resonance Till-to-POS API to post the transaction value to the device for processing.
The POS terminal then connects directly to the Bank to process the transaction and passes a success/fail message back to the till.
Benefits:
- Light integration with minimal development
- Fast transacting on POS, reduced finger error
- Use and benefit of POS Comms and PCI framework
- Minimal PCI scope for till operator
- Multiple bank integrations
Cloud-to-POS
The Cloud-to-POS solution boasts functionality typically referred to as "Pay@Table." In this solution, the till integrates with the Cloud API such that transactions are passed from Till to Cloud and then down to an available POS terminal.
The POS terminal then processes the transaction directly with the Bank/Switch and passes a success/fail message back to the till. In essence, the Cloud-to-POS solution provides a 1(Till): Many (POS) solution.
Benefits:
- Light integration with minimal development
- Fast transacting on POS, reduced finger error
- Use and benefit of POS Comms and PCI framework
- Minimal PCI scope for till operator
- Multiple bank integrations
ACI "UPED" Universal PED Driver
The UPED solution is a hardware agnostic driver which translates messages via the esocket.POS to the Hardware Abstraction Layer resident on each respective PED device. In so doing, multilane merchants are no longer hamstrung to the use of a single manufacturer or approved vendor and the burden of expensive integration and certification costs associated with migration to an alternate vendor.
This creates significant business efficiencies in so far as rotation stock, hardware support and future procurement when manufacturers hamper business through long lead times and product shortages.
